Handyman prices in Ontario vary with the job, the trade involved and how far the handyman travels. Published figures for the Toronto area put the average handyman between about $75 and $125 per hour, and many drop their rate after the first hour or two because setup and travel are already covered.
- Tucasa's pricing. Our minimum service charge is $150 CAD plus HST, which covers up to one hour of work. Time beyond that is billed hourly, or we agree a set price with you for the whole job before we continue, whichever suits the work better.
- Bigger jobs. Kitchens, washrooms, flooring and feature walls are always quoted as a fixed written price after we have seen the job, so there are no surprises on the invoice. A written quote is valid for 30 days.
- Licensed trades. Electrical and plumbing connections are done by licensed, insured tradespeople who work with us, under the same estimate.
- What you pay for. Ontario HST of 13% is added to invoiced work. Cash, e-transfer and credit card are accepted; credit card payments carry a surcharge of up to 4%.
The estimate itself is free online, by email and by phone, and for home visits we approve with you beforehand. Some visits that need long travel, measuring or an inspection carry a fee, which we always agree with you first and credit back to the job if you go ahead within 30 days.
